« on: February 24, 2019, 10:30:37 AM »
My wonderful dog got ahold of my personal Snakewood trumpet this morning, I laid it on my side table and he sniffed it out....dang....This was one of my first new models with a hollowed out bell, man did I love this one too....lol....lesson learned. At least I can show you a "split shot" of my hollowed out bell  :TooFunny:

That hurts to look at. Not only was it a beautiful call but one of the most rare and expensive woods. I'm surprised the dog didn't break a tooth hard and dense as snake wood is.

I had a dog eat my bowl back in the late 80's Man did that get me mad.

That snakewood must’ve smelled really good to the dog! The first turkey I ever killed my dog ate the tail and beard, wind blew it off my workbench. Oh well.

Yeah, my heart sunk a bit when I saw it.....I am a sucker for Snakewood, I just like the way it plays/sounds. This was a nice piece of wood and it really worked for me, oh well, I will just turn another one before the season opens.

Really sorry to see that but your right, he was just being a dog. I've had them eat furniture, house plants. shoes - you name it, just being a dog. We love our dogs and we may get mad at the time but we always forgive them and get over it, after all, they are man's best friend.

My Jack Russell chewed a wingbone to bits once. He really had to work to get it and he told me "I was just being a dog", lol. He still got a time out!!!
