Yeah I wouldn’t shoot them with that pattern either honestly.

I like good 20” numbers too

I wouldn’t change that. Stock up on those hevi #6 and never buy another shell.

They’re in reserve.  I switched to Colonial Arms .570 and Fed HW 7’s.  It’s running 140-150.

Been shooting 150’s-160’s with the Beretta 390/Hevi 13 Choke. It’s tight up close and have my young sons hunting with me now. Put the Pure Gold .570 back in it and took the rifle sights off to give them some room for error. Win Pb 5’s are all killers inside 30yds which is about as far as they need to shoot anyway.

I shot lead until Polywad and the innovations of Jay Menafee w/ HTL shotshells.  Your shells are one of the least expensive components of your hunt, all things considered, yet, the most important if you want to consistently kill gobblers.  Find the best patterning shell, regardless of the cost, for your gun/choke combo for ranges of 20-40 yards, shoot a lot at various ranges and get completely comfortable w/ your gun and its performance.  I've killed a bunch of turkeys w/ lead, but the best lead shells made, today and in the past, do not equal the ballistics and performance of the better HTL loads on the market today.
