FF3
« on: January 10, 2019, 09:26:29 AM »
I’ve put a FF3 on a 870 and haven’t had a chance to shoot it yet. But looking at the dot compared to where the bead is, the dot is high and to the right about 8”. Should I go ahead and adjust the dot so it’s close to the bead?

I think I would straighten up my left and right so you are over top your bead . The up and down may not turn out where you think it will .   But I would get it as close as I think . It may save some ammo .

What OBRO said, and just sight in with some birdshot up close to start and get you good and close.

I shot mine at about 20 yards with bird shot to get it set. That will save on shells and my shoulder. Then I went to 40 yards with the real thing took very little adjustment like that.

Thanks for the help. I’ll get the dot closer and start with field loads at 25 yards.
