Reach out to footballer on here. He makes some fine pot calls. That being said , there are so many guys turning outstanding pots that you will pull your hair out trying to pick just one. Probably why I own over 100 calls and twice as many strikers lol.

If I had to only use one call, it would be Halloran's Crystal Mistress.  After that, you'll end up with many different surfaces.  We can't help it, lol.

Like some others the Halloran CM was my first and its still my favorite. Dawkins plastic aluminum would make a good pair with it.

One more to add to the mix from the OG is Chris Brumfiel, I have one of his Osage Alum/Alum and it is really good.

Limited to one is a very tough call all the guys that have been listed are very good. I started last Spring just ordering one new pot and at last count I think I am at 25 with a couple on order. Couple more that I would add would be Paul Durham, Sinclair Calls and Gunzenhauser Calls.

I'd try Al Hobart of Enticer Turkey Calls. He makes a mean aluminum and a mean slate. I have some pots by him and they are all killers. He also makes a line of water proof slate and aluminum calls, also glass. He has a banner ad at the top of this site. He has  videos  of him playing every pot he sells. His prices are easy on the wallet too. This guy makes meat pots.
We wait all year, why not enjoy the longbeard coming in hunting for a hen, let 'em' in close !!!

Just wanted to tell everyone thanks for the advice.  I decided to buy 2 pots from a member on here,  a Stumpy Ceramic and Halloran Crystal Mistress.  May end up getting a green slate also but want to learn how to best condition and play these two pots before season.
