Watching Mike tune a call with a pocket knife is amazing.

Mike is a great guy, as everyone says. Funny as funny can be. He comes up with some classic, only Mike Lapp could think of, funny, funny stuff...
And, he makes some of the finest calls to be had. I know most of you guys know him for his boxes, which are, like I said, fine. What I never hear people talk about are his tongue calls (phenomenal), and his push pins (realistic as realistic can be). Man, if you hear his tongue calls in the woods, and you can tell them from a real hen, you have WAY better ears than me!
Workmanship on his calls is exceptional, no question...

If you had to pick one combo to get from him what would you pick?

I have a coyotewood over sycamore that is WOW! If you can get one of them, you'll have a call that'll be hard to match...

I have many of his calls and all are stout!! My all time favorite is Redheart/ Black limba.
