Got out today to shoot a few Federal TSS #9 through a Sumtoy 562-5. This is what I got at 40 yards....272 in the 10 with 201 in the 20

That is a great pattern, I love my 459.
Don't gobble at me...

looks good.   you know I see the numbers and think we can get more but then look at the pattern you can miss easy with that.   good luck and safe hunting
Tell us just how dead do you want them to be and we will see if we can get that for you.

I think it will do more. The weather was the low 40's and it was pretty breezy when I was at the range. The gun also has a dirty barrel and was not cleaned in between shots. I have to pick up some # 7's to try as the state of NY does not allow anything smaller than 8's. Still have a few boxes of heavyweight 7's for the next few seasons.

I would hunt that dog! The numbers will go up some as temp rises.  No need to chase numbers.

Exactly! My 459 shooting handloaded TSS 9's with a 562 Sumtoy is around 300/200 whereas my 570 Rob Roberts is around 270/230 but both are very even. Don't get caught up in the numbers game. Anything in the 250/250 and over range will smoke one all day long.
