Winchester 1300 and Winchester BRI's

Recently added a Bushnell TRS -25 red dot on my 1300 as I was having trouble seeing the open sights on my rifled barrel in low light conditions. This combination along with Winchester BRI's proved to be just what I was looking for. Took 3 shots from 25 yards to find the bullseye, then shots 4 and 5 were from 45 yards. The 2 shots from 100 yards were held at the same aim point as the 45 yard shots. I've shot the BRI'S out of the Winchester for several years but was never able to obtain this kind of accuracy with open sights.

Thanks, shooting off a rest is a lot easier than off hand from a tree stand or blind. We'll see how that goes here in a couple weeks.

Man to me that seems like a blast from the past. Are BRIs still made? I used them before Winchester even owned em but I had though even Winchester gave em up. I haven’t seen them in years

I also shot them way back before Winchester got involved, in my old smooth bore Model 12. Below quote is from Winchester historical timeline,

That is some excellent shooting. Agree with the accuracy of the BRI shells. I used to shoot them in a Browning A-bolt. 100 yard groups were amazing.
