Trumpet Build #4 - African Blackwood
« on: October 13, 2018, 03:37:04 PM »
Here is Trumpet build #4, another African Blackwood with delrin mouthpiece. The internals are the same as the others and I am set on that, but did change the external look a little. Having a blast building these things, and boy have I learned a ton already.

I agree with Chris, it's a keeper. Has a ton of personality.

I know you didn't ask for suggestions this time but I can't help myself.   Maybe shorten the lip stop just a tad.   Just personal preference for me.   To me that longer lip stop draws my attention making it a focal point instead of the body of the trumpet.  But I'm easily distracted.

Thank you sir, I know everyone won't like the design, but hard to please them all no matter the look.

Love the look and as far as the lip stop, I can make my own out of cork. Put me down for one in this combo. Nice work.

Thanks for the comments, they are appreciated. While the lip stop works great as is, I will figure out a fix for the excessive length. I am making sure everything is just right before selling any, very close right now, internals are set, just fine-tuning the look.
