Anybody ever saw one like this?
« on: August 29, 2018, 12:43:43 PM »
I was wondering about pot materials the other day and wondered about aluminum. So I'm gonna try it. Should be done with it today. It'll have a glass playing surface.

Neat looking call, I would love to be able to hear it. Should be weatherproof also

Looks like the top of an old Pepper Shaker. Kinda neat.

Can’t wait to see the finished call. Will it be anodized?

I got it finished. About anodizing, I thought about it but, didn't know any services close by. I've tried it with a poplar and a osage orange striker and it sounds a little metallic. Oh well I built it for fun anyway.

Yeah, it may still sound good at 50 yards or so. It does have good volume. I'm a machinist and like I said I've made a bunch from traditional woods. I got to thinking one day about aluminum.
