Probably could kill a turkey with it. You are drawing too much air and too hard though. Cut back on your air draw and use your throat.

Good advise, but not bad for only playing a month. Definitely could kill a bird with it. Keep at it.

Sounds pretty good for only one month of practice. I think you are trying too hard. Think easy and soft. Relax your lips, softly draw air with your throat.( Like drinking thru a straw, but softer) Hand positioning also makes a huge difference. I use my middle finger for back pressure and that works best for me. Hope this helps.

What they said.  And yes, it will "call" a turkey.  It's up to you to do the rest.  Knowing when to put the call down is most people's problem.
