It was a different kind of year.

Well fellows I am sorry I didn't get to participate in much hunting the last two weeks of our season. Work killed all hopes I had of getting out. Anyways it was a different kind of year with the least amount of gobbling I can remember. When I could get on birds things seemed to work out as usual but there was a lot of dead days when you would have swore there wasn't a turkey within ten miles. I hunted less for myself than years past and did manage to assist in a father/son double on a chunk of ground that 14 years ago I assisted in the boys first bird so that was neat. I am going to have to reevaluate my aproach next year but all in all it is always a good year when I can get out and have the opportunity to go against a wild gobbler. Looking forward to next spring already. To those still hunting, Goodluck and to those that were successful congrats. Hope we get to do it again.
