Thanks everyone.  I appreciate the kind words.  By the comment on youtube not everyone like it, lol.  :TooFunny:
I saw that and was like "Wow dude"

Will probably have to go through a web browser to see them rather than Tapatalk.

I listened to F.Cox on YT and his recording was nothing special, frankly I thought he was very average.....below average on some of his calls.

yelps sound good, they sound natural not forced by too much air draw, good breakover,
and sweet looking trumpet

X2 I agree he bad mouthed me also. I agree my recording wasn’t good but that was because of me not the call at all. I sound better with it now. I wasn’t impressed with the sound on his you tube clip either. I know he does make exceptional calls so I am not putting them down at all

Your calling sounds just fine David. To me more realistic tone than those that bash you.

It's sad to me. Everybody has an opinion of "who" your supposed to sound like, but no one living has heard what Indians sounded like or what Tom turpin sounded like that preceded the "guys" you need to sound like.

You will load the back of your truck with dead turkeys, and that is what you are striving for. Congrats. It's a beautiful and fine sounding trumpet.

There are people that run circles around "his majesty" on a trumpet.

Two seasons ago I walked up on someone  that sounded like a sick Turkey.  Stocked in real slow  , a lot of palms and gulberries   and it was a old man  sitting  ....... we talked for a while and his call was from Walmart and he said it was his best call .
