A .685 choke in my barrel would make it a .083 constriction.  Briley says dangerously tight. What do you think?I have a .685 sumtoy for my bps. Use with fed  heavy 7. Gave a good pattern but explains why the wad was so deformed compared to a kick .690. Briley thought a constriction more than .07 was asking for trouble.whats the most constriction u would use?

10gaugemag

Are these tubes going to be extended or flush mount?

I assume barrel thickness could play a role in amount of constriction but I do know of some 12 gauge tubes and even 10 gauge tubes that offer .100 of constriction.

Also if shooting HTL there is not as much need to choke super tight like lead loads.

I sent a side by side to Briley for barrel shortening and threading. They could only do one barrel due to wall thickness and sent it back with the other Cylinder bore....I ended up having a smith install a sleeve and it is a monster.>450/40y)/10" with tss

What dia. Chokes are u using with the tss?

4nolz2

I'd have to look I bought a digital calipers last spring

The barrel Briley did I left extrafull with Briley choke for up close shots.I'll measure the sleeved side.

4nolz: are you saying the .730 or the .695 puts up 450+ hits with TSS9? That is what I am getting with my .685, but am about to try it with TSS8 soon for comparison

4nolz2

Yes for me at least.Nitro ammo I don't handload. Its a Leige (Belgium browning).

Sorry the .695 I use inexpensive lead in the other side for close shots.(bought off gunauction per a recommendation here)
