Which decoy
« on: May 01, 2018, 06:12:20 PM »
This is the last weekend of Kentucky season. Was wondering your thoughts on decoy. I am between using DSD white face struter or a Dakota extreme jake. I’m also using a feeder hen and upright hen. We’re hunting a 15 acre field surrounded by woods on 3 sides. Just wondering what set up y’all wood use to try and get my son tagged out.

Unless you know you are hunting for a dominant bird, I would go with the jake, and a mess of good hen decoys...

Or, hunt the edge of the woods with no decoys....
Did I do that?

Fly fishermen are born honest, but they get over it.

Late season I would go with the Jake and a feeder hen. Not a fan of the lookouts.
