Can weatherby sa-08 12 ga barrel be shortened and rethreaded for chokes?

Interested in cutting my sa-08 12 ga barrel from 26" to 22" and having it threaded for chokes. Is this possible?  What choke system fits?

You could have it reamed and tapped for Win. chokes. I think that Win. , Weatherby and Mossberg use the same threads and chokes. A good gunsmith should be able to do it for you.

As I recall, that gun has a chrome-lined bore and that makes it hard on tools used to cut and thread the barrel. There are few things that can't be done but at times the cost exceeds the value.
