Benelli M2 choke/shell combo
« on: April 20, 2018, 05:53:21 PM »
I looked on the pattern forum and didint find a lot. I just got a M2 (like a whole bunch of guys did for that price) and Im looking for a choke shell combination to start with. Im not looking for something that is super tight because most of my shots are at 30 yards or less in the woods.

If your shooting 30yds or less then pretty much any of them will be fine with magblend or longbeards. Hell the factory one should be fine at that distance. A more open option would be a pure gold 670 but in reality I wouldn’t waste a bunch of money testing them for 30 and under

My M2 performed best with the combination of a Primos Jellyhead .660 and Nitro brand shells with shot size #6 and #7. I tried factory and Indian Creek chokes with all types of shells. This combination was best for my gun, but each gun is a little different.

I've always wanted to take it to Sumtoy and let him tune it up.

Good luck

Mine loves a Sumtoy and fed heavy 7's!

The combination of a Sumtoy .650 and Hevi #7s or #6s is hard to beat out of my SBE II, which is also a Crio barrel like the M2.

Well I went looking for a Primos Jelly head but couldnt find one local. Ended up with a Indian Creek .660. I shot Winchester #4,#5,#6,AND #7.5. aT 40 yards they all produced a killing pattern but the 6 and 7.5 patterned the best .

Honestly I would sick with the factory choke but it only came with a MOD and the pattern was pretty big even for close shooting.

Aww, is the m2 still for sale?

I'd like one dedicated for turkey.
