Several weeks ago I saw a picture posted here about an Albert Paul boxcall made of heart pine from Union Station in Nashville. Being a Nashville native (now expatriated to Colorado) I knew I was going to have to get one of those calls. After looking at Mr. Paul's website, I decided on a pocket call thinking that the higher pitch may be the perfect thing for hunting merriams in the mountains. The call arrived today just in time for the season opener Saturday, and I couldn't be more pleased. It sounds as great as it looks! The lantern in the picture was my great great grandfather's when he worked for the L&N Railroad at Union Station and Radnor Yard in Nashville. The other calls are the rest of my opening day lineup.
