Green Slate Recommendation

Many good call makers out there, don't take someone else's word. Reason being, you could take all these guys and their picks, put them in a room with 20 different green slate calls.......everyone of them will pick a different call as the best sounding call.,,and truth is every call mentioned will kill birds and many that were not mentioned..there is no best call...many good ones though.

Just picked up my first "green" slate this summer from Pat Strawser. Absolutely killer.
I don't get too picky about woods..... from a known good callmaker, it's gonna sound good, IMHO.

I'm really liking my Halloran Zebrawood

I just got mine in the mail yesterday.

What do you think?

I really have not had a chance to play it much yet.  I did some clucks and purrs in my office and it sounded good.  I am very comfortable with the cyrstal sounds so it is a different that what I am used to.
