Mouth Call Lanyard
« on: April 08, 2018, 07:36:11 PM »
I have looked all over the place. Where can I find a rubber pouch lanyard for my mouth calls. Quaker boy used to make one but they don’t seem to make them anymore. Any ideas?!

I dont know what a rubber pouch lanyard is, but Houndstooth Calls has a sweet cloth setup.

I like the one from Primos that holds eight calls, hangs around your neck and has a magnetic closure. Calls dry out better than closed up in something that gets no air. They don't cost all that much either.

I wish I could find one exactly like this, but without the Houndstooth logo. I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Eew rubber seems like it’d get full of junk and not breathing it’d be moldy, bacteria ridden. I’d go for the cloth if it was me. I’m not germophob but rubber just don’t seem right

I had one of the old rubber "Mouth Call" cases... It was a squeeze type pocket coin holder, and it took some maintenance to keep it clean, I drilled a few hole in it to help dry out calls because they always seemed to stay "wet"... I now have a QB call holder and a cap that holds calls in two mesh pockets on each side of the bill and it works great! Easy access and they dry pretty quickly.

The primos case has quite a few holes and calls dry fairly well in it. It did have a little smell when new so i washed it in dish soap before storing any calls in it.

I ran my calls in an old dip can with a sponge inside that I soaked in mouth wash, kept them fresh and helps fight the growth of bacteria
