930 vs 835 help
« on: April 18, 2019, 09:37:00 AM »
My brother just won a Mossy 930 from a ducks unlimited banquet and he’s debating keeping it or trading for a 20 ga of his choice plus some cash. Can I use the 835 patterns and choke recommendations on this forum to correlate to what he can expect from the 930? Reason I ask is bc it seems there more people shooting the 835

835 has an overbored 10 gauge barrel.  The 930 is a standard 12 gauge barrel so the chokes will be different.

I would expect the 930 to pattern great but the 835 will out pattern it.

check out my pattern pics of my 930.  Indian Creek and Federal or Apex TSS will get the job done.
