longbeards!

Well I have never been a numbers guy really, just a good even pattern that would kill them . Well I bought some 3.5 longbeard 5s to try out of my 24" barrel 535. The target pictured is only a 8" circle and the load put up 198 in the 8" circle at 40 yards.  I would have gotten more if I could move it up a little more to the left. this is with a truglo ssx choke. I see that the picture posted sideways, the right side is actually the bottom

how far out will the longbeard shells effectively take down a gobbler ?

I've had great success with them a few yards beyond what I normally consider ethical... :camohat:

nice pattern! I go back and forth between 3.5" #5's and #6's both are killers at 40 yards easy
