Winchester LBXR in a 870 youth
« on: March 18, 2018, 09:59:59 PM »
Anyone had a chance to try the Winchester LBXR in a 20ga 870? I’ve got a youth model with a Sumtoy.562. Just curious to how the LBXR will do in that combo and which load to use #5 or #6.

I shot some 6's today out of 4 different chokes (no Sumtoy choke). My 870 has a 26" barrel, all shots today were at 40 yds.

Primos Jellyhead Maximum.570 ~ 111
JEBS Headhunter .555 ~ 112
Carlson's Turkey .575 ~ 113
Carlson's LongBeard .568 ~ 145

If I could get the pictures to post I would, but all the patterns look nice and even

What size shot? Fours, fives, or sixs?
