Remington 870 Compact Federal TSS/Federal HW

Guys I had a little time yesterday to shoot a few rounds out of a clean 870 compact 20 gauge with 21" barrel and sumtoy .562-5 choke.

I was running out of daylight and this is with 3" Federal Tss 9's 1.5 oz load and bottom pictures are with FederL heavyweight 7's


It was clear in the evening at 64-62 degrees.

395 in the 10" at 20 yds with Federal Tss
199 in the 10" at 40 yds with Federal Tss

281 at 20 yds with Federal hw 7's
Now on my 40 yds my shooting stick collapsed lol so I shot a little low and moved the circle just so you could see the pattern since that is what everyone else does.
It was 178 at 40 yds.

Exactly my thoughts. I want to try to Long beard 6's but aint going to have time before season

Check your total 9's tss pellet count  on paper if you can . I posted some information in the general discussion section on this very thing and would be interested in what you find.
If a 9's tss has 543 in an ounce and a half?

Question would be if there are 328 Hw7 and you have 281 that leaves 47 outside the 10"at 20 yards.
With the TSS 9 loads there are 543 tss 9's ? And you have 395. That leaves 148 outside the 10" at 20 yards??

Great patterns!! My Sons 870 compact really likes the Fed and also H13 7s. The first time we patterned it I was in shock and awe...
