Why buy expensive carbide lathe tools when I can make my own with the abundance of carbide inserts...
This little cutie sits on a 5/16 stainless steel shaft. Insert in barely 1 inch long by 5/16s....i know this will cut like butter...

Probably a 4in diameter rougher square bit like the R4 full size.
