Bob Buckner Osage beauty

I had Mr Buckner make me this Osage trumpet.  The wood is from a very old Alabama fencepost and is absolutely stunning.  Buffalo horn MP, spiral design ferrule and all the fixins.  Sounds great as with all his calls.  His craftsmanship never ceases to amaze me.

Yeah that's sharp I never would have guessed Osage for the wood but it is beautiful.

That's a beauty no doubt and I'm sure just packed full of turkey.  Nice piece of Osage!!  You have to love that Rose Engine work on that ferrule!!!!!!

Osage darkens with age and ultraviolet light.  It will travel from almost bright yellow to dark brown in a few decades.  Snakewood will lose it's beautiful figure over time as well.
