Kansas archery public land

Hey guys, any experience with NE Kansas? I will be headed there for opening day of archery and am planning on checking out some WIHA and maybe Tuttle creek. Anyone have any experience on public land in Kansas especially the WIHA or Tuttle creek during early season?

The turkey population has taken a down turn the last several years. If you do some scouting you'll find some birds. Not all WIHA can be walked before the season opens. Get a spring atlas. Good luck.
