Ok guys here is my new Franchi Affinity 3 20 gauge 26” Barrel
Sumtoy .562.5 choke
Apex 3” 1 5/8oz 9’s
 20 and 40 yard pictures
I do not clean my guns between shots so Barrel is dirty lol.

The last 2 pictures will be 20 and 40 yard of the federal tss 3” 1 1/2oz 9’s


I like the Apex better at 40 but the federal is a little wider at 20

The apex at 40 yards was 317 in the 10

The federal tss was 228 at 40 yds

The federal tss at 20 yds was 409 and the apex blew a hole plus about 200 within 10 inch circle

Thanks for posting these comparisons.  Very helpful.

So from your patterning and in your opinion, is it safe to say the Apex tss loads threw a tighter pattern than the Fed tss??

I'm looking for a more open pattern, more forgiving.  I'm not interested in seeing how many hits I can get inside a 10" circle.  I like an even 20" pattern.  That being said and based off your pattern pictures, I should buy the Fed tss.  Is that right?

I think the apex is a denser pattern at 40 yards because it has more shot for the money Federal is cheaper so I say shoot federal.
