Successful Oregon Trip
« on: April 30, 2017, 01:06:11 PM »
For the past few years I've been venturing to Oregon to "extend" my turkey season by adding a couple more tags to my pocket. I ended up taking two great birds with my bow.

First day we had this Tom fly down off the roost and beeline to the DSD Strutter and hen combo we had out.

The video is X rated. https://youtu.be/Tt0oQ5DsFFc

Next morning found us back in the blind. We had a lot of birds gobbling on the roost and hoped for a repeat of the previous morning. Birds came off the roost and a pack of Jakes kept pushing the bigger birds away and making things tough as they wouldn't work the decoys. We let things settle down and waited. A little while later a lone tom came in to assess the decoy setup and I zipped a Magnus Bullhead through his neck and affixed my tag to him. Unfortunately I didn't get any video of this bird.
