Acrylic trumpet=Pain in the rear
« on: January 29, 2018, 02:36:34 PM »
Here’s why you don’t see very many acrylic trumpets. They are a pain to turn. But they do sound really good, are waterproof and aren’t bad on the eyes.  An acrylic green swirl trumpet and a acrylic 3piece yelper.

Also a pic of my hunting call this year. A piece of dogwood burl that came from my mother in laws property. It was a victim of the drought a couple years ago. My kids climbed and hunted Easter eggs in the tree. I’m going to make both my boys calls out of the remaining wood. Last is a recent black and white ebony and ivory call.

I really like that acrylic call.

looks like someone dropped a Trumpet call in a cotton candy machine.

Great looking horns for sure. Hope that won't be the last of the acrylics. The dogwood burl is really nice looking wood.
