Psalm 69:3 "I am weary with my crying; my throat is parched; My eyes fail while I wait for my God."

Monty Hall's show Let's make a deal has always reminded me of how some deal with God. My door number one looked like this, "God I will be faithful and righteous the best I can, and in return, God, You will make all things in my life perfect." With this thinking, my expectation of God always exceeded my experiences with God. The cycle feeds on itself: Disappointment, anger, doubt, then withdrawal from God.

I am so weary hearing good Christians with the best intentions trying bargain with God or to apologize for God! Or worse yet make excuses for God because they don't understand LIFE!

"God IF you will do this for ? for me....I will ................!"
" I'm not sure why this happened but God has a reason"
" There is a purpose behind this, God has a plan"
" We can't change fate!"
" God is getting your attention!"
My MOST HATED..."We don't question God We just accept it!"

Well if you ever said one of these or bargained with God for door number one I feel for you!

We live in a world of sin and evil! Bad things happen. And may I assure you God grieves just as we do. But we must never resort to making deals or blaming God! That is not what FAITH is all about. Faith is given by God, to strengthen, to sustain, to heal, to comfort!

Philippians 1:29 "For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for him,"

Friends Life is hard! Full of unexpected tragedy and heartaches. But through the power of Jesus Christ we can overcome anything life throws at us.

In Revelation (My favorite book) there are messages of hope and perseverance!
Eight times in Revelation great promises are made to those who
overcome. (Rev. 2:7, 2:11, 2:17, 2:26, 3:5, 3:12, 3:21, 21:7.)

Our Lord's intention in giving these promises was certainly not
to make us feel guilty, or inadequate, but to spur us on to
victory.

God is cheering you on to victory! He believes you can overcome
(with His help)!

SAY THIS: God made me an over comer, so I will overcome!

My Deal with God? You are in control, Give me strength to trust and perservere!

I truly wish that more people of God understood this statement.
I wish that more pastors in the pulpits across America would say this to their congregations.

God truly wants the best for you and is your biggest fan.

Great devotional Mike. God Bless.
