Super X 3 20 gauge
« on: December 25, 2017, 10:10:35 AM »
Anybody on ere have A Winchester SX 3 20 gauge?  I assume most are shooting HW #7.

What is the choke of choice for the Inv+ 20 gauge guns with longer barrels??

Thinking very hard about one of these with a 28" barrel. I really like the idea of weight savings when hiking some of the hills we hunt in the Ozarks.

I like and use a TruLock 565...reason i like this choke it gives you a little wiggle room up close ...some will tell you you the 555 choke also...but that's a tighter choke...but now i'm shooting mine out of a youth 870 - 20 ga. with 21 inch barrel with the Federal HW 7

If like for 90 days if you don't like the Trulock choke they will replace it or make it right..great service....i also like a non-ported choke ...

I have a 26" barreled SX3 20ga killed 6 with it last season using a carlsons longbeard .568 choke and 15/8oz of #9 tss. I have a .560 gobbling thunder that does well and a .585 flush carlson turkey choke that has alot more forgiving pattern than other 2 I mentioned and I'll be running the .585 this year.

we ran 562 in them.  They are one of the best guns for putting up big number patterns.
Tell us just how dead do you want them to be and we will see if we can get that for you.

I have a friend that shoots a sx3 20ga with a sumtoy 562, awesome 40 yd. patterns with heavyweight 7.
Spring turkey hunting, I love it so.                FREEDOM IS NOT FREE

I tried Sumtoy, Factory X full, MadMax .565,

My best pattern was a pure gold .555 nitro 3in striaght hevi 7s.
Now I shoot Apex #9 stopped counting at  280.

Mine is a NWTF SX3 20ga with duratouch.
