Origins of pot calls
« on: September 21, 2017, 06:59:04 PM »
As I try to learn more about calls, calling, and call making I have been looking for some history on pot calls and their makers of years past. This effort has not proven to be very successful so far for me. One of the basic pieces of information is how pot calls evolved, did they start as flat slate boxes then as the lathe became more prevalent they took on the round shape? Where did they develop, etc.? I would just like to learn some of the history, but am not finding the right places to look, any help that could be given would be appreciated. I hope this isn't to far flung a post.
Thanks,
Jim
Regards,
Jim
