I don't have that combo but I just got a walnut over cypress and the sound is very unique. Like no other box I have. In a good way!! Can't wait to hunt it. Good luck with your call....I'm sure you'll like it!

How would you describe the sound with yours?

Albert said he could tune it however I want. I said no, I don't ever request a particular combo be tuned a certain way. I like the maker and/or the wood dictate the tune.

Looks great, I have a poplar over walnut that I  love. We have our local wildlife show next weekend that Mr. Paul and his wife always set up at. Two great people to talk turkey with.

You got a great call from Albert, he had one in that combo in Nashville in 2012 that was off the charts a killer box call.  Congrats to you on your new call!

Just called Albert and ordered another... This one will be Walnut over Cedar.

If anyone is curious to know, he said the walnut over cedar, walnut over poplar, and maple over persimmon are his three best sellers.
