New Buice's (One more added)
« on: May 27, 2017, 07:48:38 PM »
I got these in the mail today from Mr. Buice. The one on the left is California Madrone Burl and the right is Pink Ivory. They are both beautiful and play as good as they look. I'm not sure how the image quality is as I am having computer problems and I am not able to post from Flickr and I am having trouble using Flickr on my phone. I have another osage on the way that should be here Tuesday. I just can't get enough of Mr. Billy's trumpets.

Those are a couple nice calls! I like the pink ivory look! I've been thinking about getting one made up for my granddaughter out of it. Yours looks great....

I wonder why the Pink Ivory trumpet does not have the same lanyard groove as the Madrone Burl? Might not matter at all, but it seems like the groove would help secure the lanyard.

I have no clue and to be honest I didn't even notice that until you mentioned it. As far as the lanyard staying put I don't think it will be an issue at all as long as it is snugged down. I have a double drop lanyard from Del so I am not worried about it coming off. Next time I talk to Billy I will ask about it. Maybe some of the other guys that have more than me know that answer.
