Still on the road headed home so I'll post the story later but here are some pics from our trip

First morning South Nebraska to break the long drive to the mountains


First morning in the mountains of NW Nebraska   My dad and daughter doubled and i called one more in to the same set 2 minutes later

Couldn't be more proud. My 11yr old daughter scouted this area, picked the spot, called  and picked her shot all by herself. I was sitting beside her loving every second.


My dad just before we left. He used my lil 20 and he was amazed

That looks like a fantastic family outing. I know the joy of having an apprentice make all the right decisions on their own for the first time and taking their own bird. Major accomplishment.

BTW, what kind of gas mileage did you get in your vehicle from that first photograph?
