Connected again this morning. He will be a bit of an upgrade. 3 year old? And 1" Spurs. Back out after a bird for Rut. I'll get the stats tonight.

Figured I'd post here the monster second beard that Rut found when we were measuring the beard for the team pictures.  Hope that he passed on his genes.

Congrats on the multi-bearded Merriams!  I don't know about Idaho, but here in New Mexico multiple-bearded Merriams gobblers are  rarer than "hens teeth".

Thanks guys for all the kudos. First season in 10 years I didn't put a gobbler down in California. Hope it's because they will be a year older next year. Positive thinking.
Had fun w Rut in Idaho. Have to admit he was my first contact with a team member.  It would be cool to set up another out of state hunt next year. Keep us retired guys in your thoughts!
