Trulock and winchester longbeard 5s
« on: April 28, 2017, 03:42:50 PM »
I have a remington 11-87 20 gauge with a 21 inch barrel. The choke is a trulock for federal number 7 hw shot. Trulock item number f7rem20spl. The package in came in does not give the exit diameter. The trulock catalog list the item number for a federal number 7hw as f7rem20560. I don't know if these are the same choke. Anybody know if any difference? It's a non ported choke. With a federal hw7 it puts in the 140s in a ten inch circle at 40 yards. I have some winchester 20 gauge number 5s longbeards so I decided to try a longbeard in the number 7 trulock choke. It put 121 in a 10 inch circle at 40 yards. It has about three egg shaped holes in a ten inch circle. Some clumping of 4to 7 shot. But it's only one shot. Then the rain came. Has anybody else tried this choke with longbeards? Many thanks for any information!!!      Buford
