I've got a pair of muck wetland boots, and a pair or danners with light insulation, but I'm looking for advice for a boot to wear later in the season when a lot of times it's 65-80 degrees here in MN. The two I listed previously are too hot much over 60 degrees.

Lightweight wool blend socks underneath.

I roll them down if it gets real hot.

I have some warm ones I wear when hunting in Canada in the fall.

Boggs rubber boots with no insulation or Danner Mountain Light hiking boots.  Depends on the terrain.

Deep South Alabama guy here so heat in the late season is brutal most years. I've come to love the Muck Snake Proof boots. The opener tends to be quite cold (28 degrees in the morning this year) and by the time a week or so into April rolls in, it's 65+ degrees at first light and 85 by mid morning. My first year wearing the Mucks and they have been a treat. They are heavy, but when it gets hot and ol "no shoulders" starts moving the bite protection is a nice assurance, and the cooling liner on the inside of them is pretty dang nice. They do have a weird fit. I wear a size 11 in athletic shoes and a size 11 was dead on for me, but my father wears a size 13 athletic and the size 13s he purchased had to almost be pryed off when he tried them on.

I wear uninsulated bean boots

That's my favorite warm weather boot, too.  I had to retire a pair last year due to them being totally worn out.  Must have had them 15 years or so.

Do the warm vs cold weather boots fit differently? I love my Muck Woody Maxs but without heavy socks, my heel slips in them.  I guess I will just have to go try a pair and see.

I have wide feet, so I had to size up in the lightweight ones.  The heavy ones are a different brand and they have wide sizes, so they fit right out of the box.

I have a couple pair of the Danner jackle camo boots very light weight more like a running shoe. Work really well in dry areas.
If you make everything easy how do you know when your good at anything?

Merrell ventilators. Any waterproof boot is going to be hot.
