Magblends choke size
« on: April 04, 2017, 10:23:40 PM »
What size chokes are you all using for your magblends? I have tried aSSX and aTrulock 660 through my Remington 870 21in barrel. My patterns aren't terrible but not real good.

Have the same gun and barrel length and got a great pattern with a hs undertaker I think is a .665 and the factory choke that was like a .670

I have seen them work with 650 and 665.
Tell us just how dead do you want them to be and we will see if we can get that for you.

I used an IC .665 with 3.5" Magblends today out of my SBE II and got 192 in the 10" circle and another 173 in the 20". Pretty even pattern through out.

I rock the 23" 870 using a jellyhead 660.  I get 220 at 40 with the 3.5" round.   Perfect for me.

I have tried Magblend in several of my guns with different choke combo's and I have never had a pattern that looked all that good until this Yildiz Sumtoy choke combo. The pattern that is posted on the thread below was a "hey ya'll watch this" deal and did not do a pellet count, but defintely better that what I have had previously in other guns and gauges.
