Nikon Turkey Pro Scopes
« on: March 26, 2017, 10:29:30 AM »
How many of you own a Nikon Turkey Pro Scope ?  I have 2 one mounted on a shotgun another one new in the box both have the ant-glare piece. I saw 2 this week on ebay sale for almost 400 dollars each.  If you use a scope what kind do you have on you turkey gun ?

I haven't used one in several seasons but I have a Simmons ProDiamond 2x and a Tasco Bantam 2.5x on guns. IMO most of the "shotgun" scopes made today don't have adequate eye relief. I think that's the Nikon's are so in demand now.

I have 3 of the original Nikons...One mounted on my Encore, one I bought second hand that was never used and a new one still in the box. Picked the new one up when I found out they were discontinuing them. The other one I got lucky and stumbled across..Great scopes, but glad I didn't have to pay 400$ each..

Have a Leupold 1x4 on top of a Browning Gold 12. I saw those Nikon's on ebay and was going to bid on one until the price got so high.

With the advancement in shot, ammo, chokes...more companies would put out a quality scope for the dedicated turkey gun. I'm happy with the Weaver I got this year EXCEPT the eye relief.

I wanted a Nikon Turkey Pro but couldn't give what folks were asking so I went with a Simmons Prodiamond and I'm very satisfied

I have one in reserve for my SX2. The only problem I find with it is the lack of adequate eye relief.

My old style Nikon Pro has plenty of eye relief. I'm not sure about the ones that replaced them before they quit making them. I think the Leupold 1×4 with the turkey reticle would be a good replacement if a guy couldn't find a Nikon. I've never used one,but they look very similar to my Nikons? Anyone went from original Nikons to the Leupold mentioned?

I have one on a 12 ga and another on a 20 ga. 12 ga. scope is 14 years old and the 20 ga. is 10 years old. Never a problem and I shoot Hevi-13 out of them. Great buy IMO.

I would consider a scope for my 20 gauge if/when the red dot fails.  But it won't be a $400 one!

My 835 would give me scope eye and will never wear a scope for that reason. :D

Leupold 1x4 Shotgun on my SBE.  Plenty of eye relief.  I think they are making it in a turkey reticle now but I like the cross hairs.
