Shooting Sticks for New Hunter???
« on: March 14, 2017, 07:56:53 AM »
Anyone ever use a monopod, bipod, or tripod for either ground blinds or just run-and-gun hunting?  Thinking about getting one for my nephew and another novice turkey hunter, and wondering if one was better than the others?

I have a mono but haven't used it...I be the bipod would be the best of both worlds though

I used a bipod last year and while I took my only shot off-hand, just the benefit of it to set my gun on while i'm sitting was awesome. I was able to set the gun on the bipod and the stock in my shoulder and still have hands free to call. I painted mine to make it blend in better

I have a camcorder tripod with a "Y" yoke that screws into the base that I have used the passed 2 years for my boy and it has served him well.
