Making progress ... rails are glued up on a curly maple frame. I just hope it makes a sound now.

That is gorgeous!! Have never seen red cedar like that.

I decided to keep it simple and let the wood shine through. Plus that gnarly grain looked like it would be a pain to chip anything into it.

Totally awesome. Almost looks like some sort of the crazy, swirly acrylic countertops, sheeting and dowels made today. Almost unbelievable it's wood lol. Nice you kept it's integrity instead of risking damage to it. (Chipping etc).
