used a jellyhead 660 in my mossy 500 12gauge!
35 yards 4ft by 3ft piece of wrapping paper, 84 total hits in 10 in circle, using win HV supreme1 3/4 oz no 6's.
you can tell in the pic the wind was blowing about 10mph to the left.

Hey Lon, PM headed your way.

new2turkey

 :hello99: Lon0121!

I am using a mossberg 500 12 gauge this year as well, and I just patterned today.. Using a TruGlo gobble stopper xtreme choke tube and Hevi-13 #6s 1 5/8 ounce of shot...

Here's my pattern of the day...

Theres 188 in a 12 inch circle, maybe you should try this setup out!

the general rule is 100 in the 10 inch circle!

nice pattern! :z-guntootsmiley:

i think im gonna stick to regular lead shot,  the heavi 13 stuff is a proven killer but its expensive!

i will try the rem nitro loads in the am,  i have no 5's to try out as well

Try the remington magnum premiers as well... They pattern okay in my gun.

shoot at 40 yards and more people will be able to help you out.  If you move your circle a little lower and to the left i think you could pick up some more pellets .

Lon0121

ok thanks!

we had a slight wind today and i rushed to test the new choke out!  damaging winds at 65 mph came shortly after and power was lost!  it will be more steady tomorrow!

i will test at 40 tomorrow!  i will raise the poa on my sights tonight to compensate for a low pattern!

x2... I hope you get 1000 in the 10...

Lon0121

that would be crazy with a 1000 in a 10 in circle!   :smiley-char092:

Well, I hope you get at least the 100 that you want/ need for your pattern... :)

It took 3 shells and I finally tried the hevi shot... That's where I'm staying  :icon_thumright:

But I did get a reasonable pattern in the 10 with the Remington Magnum Premiers I mentioned earlier. I'll look on my old posts and see if I can find that picture... could still be on my PB as well.

What length barrel is your gun?

new2turkey

Not as even as I'd like, but if the circle was shifted to the left it would be more even.

Lon0121

mine is the 28 in barrel
