Question about beard care

I searched and found no answers, and I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section, but anyways, here goes.

I'm just about all finished up drying out my first turkey beard. I intend to hang it out of the shell it was taken with, but my question is when I go to display it, do I need to worry about keeping it out of sunlight? I'd like to hang it from my truck's rearview mirror, but I really don't want it to fall apart overtime either. Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry for the poor picture. I put them in a zip lock bag with salt over the meaty area for about a week. After that I take them out and they are good to go. I've never had one in direct sunlight but the oldest beard on that board has been there since 2009.

I've got one hanging from my rear view mirror in my truck that's been there for 4 years and it's doing fine

I pull um off and throw them on the floor board of my hunting truck dry out just fine.

Thanks! I figured as much, it's not like turkeys avoid sunlight. I just didn't know how they'd hold up being off of the bird. It's my first and it's also got a unique blonde tip, so I don't want to ruin it.

Sunlight does not really seem to bother them much in my experience but bugs will. I have had beards in my truck fall apart after being infested. Hungry bugs even put holes in my headliner. Something to think about.
