Latex storage

Could anyone give me some pointers on the storage of unused latex?  Do you store it in a freezer or just out at room temperature in a zip lock bag?

I think the biggest concern is keeping your material out of direct sunlight and excessive heat.  Beyond that, I am not sure there is any benefit to taking any more elaborate measures like refrigerating or freezing, or storing in a dark place. That probably can't hurt, but I'm not sure that is necessary.
