Well drove 17 hours and got to hunt yesterday.   Hunted from 6:30am to 8pm with no luck.   Heard a few and saw a few but they are just handing it to me.    It's only day one.  Back in the blind.   We will see how it goes today.    I hate turkeys.

Good luck!

Ok so they beat me down again.  Had one Tom strutting 20 yds behind the blind.  Never came in.   Then another stud Tom screaming at 42 yds but wouldn't come in.  No shot.   Maybe I oughta use a shotgun.  Lol.   Could have killed both birds that way.   Oh well.  Two more days to go.

I've hunted with my bow the first 3 years & had similar luck! I'm torn between using my shotgun & going out again with my bow. I'm leaning shot gun now, as I'm getting a little sick of not having killed a Turkey. We shall see...

I am going to bag my first Turkey this spring if it is the last thing I do!

Well, last day of the hunt I was able to connect.  Had a gobbler going to the same strut zone two mornings in a row.  He wouldnt come to me so I set up on his strut spot.  I put my own strutter in his spot and brushed the blind in some, which I think helped a ton.  Anyways I was sitting there getting depressed at about 9:30am when I looked up and saw two gobblers on the decoy.  I barely had time to get my bow up and get the shot off.  The Tom ran 30 yds and died. What a great hunt.  Had a blast.  Drove 17 hours straight to make it home.  Now I am tired.  LOL.

Awesome! I love bow hunting, but ain't got brave enough yet to try it on a turkey. I have a hard enough time getting one with a shotgun! Lol
