SX3 and LB#5
« on: March 21, 2016, 07:32:52 PM »
Finally got my hands on some 3.5" LB #5s with IC.665 and 28" barrel and got this.
196 at 40 yds. At 25 is wicked tight but dead center.

:z-winnersmiley:  Great looking pattern there...good night gobbler...  I'm getting ready to shoot my X2 and .665 Indian Creek Black Diamond Strike...always gives me good 20" coverage and 170 plus in 10" at 40 yards regardless of H13 or Lead loads, excellent hunting set up
shoot first, measure spurs later

Awesome pattern.  :you_rock:

I will get on the range on Saturday to work my SX2. I recently deep cleaned it and have a Patternmaster Code Black tube on it. I am hoping for some good results with the LBs. More to follow ....

I'm shooting the 3.5" Longbeards XR #5 thru my SX3 with a Roy Rhodes .655 non-ported Angle Port choke and getting 200+ in the 10" circle @ 40 yards.   :OGturkeyhead:

I like how how the poi is consistent with the poa with the longbeards as compared to when I shoot the hevi 13 offerings. I love the pattern density of the h13 but I hate how inconsistent the poi is.

Longbeards shot high for me. I dont see them as good enough to make me change my current setup.

yup it funny thing with them shells.   We found that the browning/winchester shoot the 5s better then others.  We had good luck with the 4s and 6s in other guns.   Good looking pattern .
Tell us just how dead do you want them to be and we will see if we can get that for you.

How does that 660 do with the #6 longbeards at 40 I've got a bps 26 barrel kicks gt 660 been getting 200-215 in the 10 thought it may do better with the 5s with the choke I have may have to go with 655 to get better numbers with 6s
