So I was eager to get out and do some patterning today since I polished my barrel on my 835. Previous patterns with the mag blends were all over the place from 100-190 hits at 40 during last year's patterning sessions. So I picked up two boxes of 3.5" mag blends and decided to give them another whirl... And wow... I got 254 hits inside the 10@40. And another shot yielded 209 in the 10@40. Polishing works and I am now a believer! I tried the jelly head choke, hevi shot choke, ssx choke, and the indian creek .675 choke. But the Carlson long beard .683 choke gave the best results and will be my set up this year.
