I work with a guy who is making turkey plaques and also box displays. He is fantastic with any type of wood and can pretty much make you whatever you want. He makes plaques for the military as a side job and has his own shop opened in fort Myers florida where a lot of his work is displayed. I just had him make me a cedar box display with the state of Florida in cedar. If anyone is interested he is willing to ship. His prices vary depending on wood. Staining any wood is free. Extremely nice fella who is great to do business with.
For an idea of prices I paid $50 for the cedar display box and State cut out made of cedar. Oak would be around $75
