Single vs. Double Strength Glass
« on: April 30, 2015, 07:38:26 PM »
By mistake, I ordered 20 double strength, 3" glass soundboards. How much difference is the sound vs. single strength?  Should I space a DS glass soundboard from bottom of playing surface same as SS glass soundboard?  Thanks

got a couple good close friends who make calls, and have been doing so for a long long time.  Both use it for soundboards as their personal favorite.  keep your dimensions.  I wouldn't change anything but the pedestal height to maintain your air gap.

You didn't make a mistake, getting double strength glass. In 33 yrs. making friction calls always used double strength glass.  Tried single strength once, JUNK, to easy to break.
